Description

  • The role holder is responsible for ensuring the effective conduct of preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all of Kahramaa’s HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) equipment and assets.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensures effective implementation of the maintenance plan covering heating, ventilation & air conditioning equipment across all Kahramaa assets and facilities and offices and rented buildings.
  • Supervises onsite inspection of mega volt HVAC works conducted by contractors, as per work requests received and evaluates their performance thus suggesting them with approaches to provide effective services.
  • Supervises preventive and corrective maintenance activities conducted by contractors for all HVAC equipment and services, in case of routine and breakdown of HVAC equipment/machinery.
  • Monitors maintenance of HVAC equipment/systems in order to achieve the objective of providing uninterrupted HVAC services thereby meeting design parameters resulting into optimum energy utilization and users comfort.
  • Supervises modification and replacement works conducted by contractors for all HVAC equipment/ machinery.
  • Coordinates and executes replacement and new installation of mega volt HVAC equipment as necessary.
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates installation of HVAC systems and controls all maintenance activities in accordance with Kahramaa regulations, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures regular servicing of HVAC equipment and maintains logs of all the maintenance activities conducted, on a periodic basis.
  • Ensures all maintenance activity is carried out in a safe manner and is in compliance with Kahramaa’s standards.
  • Participates in preparation of maintenance schedules for existing and new HVAC equipment in line with vendor recommendations and guidelines.
  • Prepares status/progress reports periodically and submits to Engineer – HVAC.
  • Conducts administrative works related to the on-going HVAC work contracts.
  • Prepares technical report on HVAC equipment/systems and recommends remedial alternatives/ improvement areas to the management to initiate better maintenance of the HVAC equipment.
  • Works in cooperation with Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement section on securing and maintain the ISO / Risk Management / ISMS certification
  • Carries out and ensures the compliance of all activities within the Department are in-line with Kahramaa health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • ​High Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • More than 8 years of experience in a similar industry and/or position with minimum 4 years of relevant supervisory experience

Self-Management Responsibilities:

  • Defines performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager and ensures that the goals are achieved during the course of the year
  • Identifies the training and development requirements for self and agrees on them with the reporting manager to ensure that the required trainings are arranged and attended
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth
