This essential service can be completed either online through the Hukoomi portal or in-person at any HMC facility or PHCC center.
Applying Online
Renewing a health card online is straightforward and can be done 24/7. Here’s how:
- Visit the Health Card E-Service Page: Access the Hukoomi website and navigate the health card services section.
- Enter QID Number: Input your Qatar ID number and select the “Renew” transaction type.
- Fill Application Form: Specify the number of years you wish to renew the card for and enter your telephone number.
- Choose Notification Preferences: Enter your email address to receive a receipt by email and your mobile number for SMS notifications.
- Proceed to Payment: Click “Next” to reach the payment page and complete the transaction using your debit or credit card.
- Submit Application: Once paid, submit your application. You will receive confirmation via email and SMS if selected.

For those preferring in-person renewal, here are the steps:
- Visit an HMC Facility or PHCC Center: Locate the nearest HMC or PHCC center and visit during morning working hours.
- Submit Required Documents:
- Qatari Adults: Copy of valid QID or passport, passport-size photo.
- Qatari Children: QID number, old health card.
- GCC Citizens (Adults & Children): Copy of ID, QID number, old health card.
- Residents (Adults): QID with valid residence permit, old health card.
- Residents (Children): QID with valid residence permit, old health card, sponsor’s QID.
- Domestic Staff: QID with valid residence permit, old health card, sponsor’s QID.
- Pay Applicable Fees: The fees vary based on the applicant type.
Fees
The fees for renewing a health card in Qatar vary by applicant type. Qatari adults and children must pay a fee of 50 QR, while GCC citizens, both adults and children, also face the same fee of 50 QR.
Residents, regardless of age, must pay a fee of 100 QR, and domestic staff are charged a fee of 50 QR.

Renewing Health Cards via Qatar Post
Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) offers a quick and efficient service for renewing health cards without any additional fees. This service is available at Counter No. (16) at the General Post Office in West Bay, Doha.
Steps to Follow
- Complete the application form.
- Submit the following documents:
- A copy of your passport or ID card.
- Two passport-sized photographs.
- Your health file number.
Fees: A renewal fee of QR100 applies.

- Location: General Post Office, West Bay, Doha (check Google Maps for directions).
- Qatar Post will notify you via registered mail to your P.O. Box when your card is ready for pickup. You can also receive an SMS or email notification for a fee of QR1, payable when submitting your application.
