3rd Phase of E-Transfer of Domestic Workers’ Salaries Begins on July 1

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the launch of the third phase of the electronic salary transfer service for domestic workers, effective July 1.

This phase applies to employers with three or more domestic workers.

Background and Implementation

  • Previous Phases: The second phase, which began on January 1, targeted employers with more than four domestic workers.
  • Future Phases: Starting October 1, 2025, the e-transfer service will expand to those with two or more workers, and it will encompass all domestic workers by January 1, 2026.

Objectives of the Initiative

This initiative aims to:

  • Guarantee the rights of domestic workers regarding salary payments.
  • Support the development of the domestic workers sector.
  • Enhance the rights of both employers and domestic workers.

The ministry highlighted that the electronic salary transfer service is a critical step toward improving transparency and reliability in wage payments, facilitated through digital wallets and approved banks via the Musaned platform.

  • Regular Payments: Ensures workers receive their salaries on a regular basis.
  • Family Support: Facilitates easy transfer of salaries to workers’ families back home.

The Ministry introduced this salary transfer system through the Musaned platform, the official website for household services and home employment programs.
