UAE Public Holiday Guide: Key Dates for 2025

The UAE Cabinet has officially announced the public holiday schedule for 2025, providing residents with important dates to plan their vacations.
The list includes various holidays, with some dates dependent on moon sightings.

Eid Al Fitr is set to be observed from Sunday, March 30, to Tuesday, April 1, 2025, for private sector employees. If Ramadan extends to 30 days, the holiday will also include Wednesday, April 2.
For the public sector, the holidays will take place from April 1 to April 3, with work resuming on April 4.
Additionally, a one-day holiday will be granted for Arafat Day on the ninth of Dhu Al Hijjah, with the exact date to be confirmed after moon sighting.
Following this, Eid Al Adha will be celebrated with a three-day holiday from Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12.
Other notable holidays include a one-day break for the Islamic New Year, and another for Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday, which falls on the 12th of Rabi Al Awwal. The date for this holiday will also be announced based on moon sightings.
As the year comes to a close, Eid Al Etihad will be observed on December 2 and 3, 2025, providing residents with a mid-week break.
