These inspections have focused on high-traffic locations such as the Al Wakrah Central Market and various produce outlets. Authorities have taken necessary legal action against businesses and individuals found in violation of Qatar’s Food Control Law.
Meanwhile, health control teams in Al Sheehaniya Municipality have carried out targeted inspections of markets, meat and poultry vendors, and sweets shops.
These efforts are designed to enforce health regulations and prepare food outlets for the surge in demand expected during the holiday.
Al Shamal Municipality has also undertaken thorough checks of food retailers and the central slaughterhouse to ensure they are fully compliant and equipped to meet public needs during Eid.
Doha Municipality has adopted a strategic approach to food delivery safety, organizing a specialized awareness program for personnel involved in the delivery of food.
The training sessions are intended to improve the hygiene standards of food transportation and handling, especially amid increased demand for delivery services during the festive period.
Collectively, these initiatives form part of a broader national strategy to reinforce food safety and consumer protection during one of the most significant religious holidays in the Islamic calendar.
By intensifying oversight and raising awareness, Qatar’s municipalities aim to provide residents with the assurance of safe, high-quality food during Eid Al-Adha celebrations.
