Key Details of the Extension

  • Grace Period: The extension will be in effect from July 1 to December 31, 2025.
  • Coverage: This initiative applies to all tax laws currently in effect, exempting taxpayers from various penalties, including:
    • Late registration
    • Delayed payments
    • Late filing of returns
    • Fines related to VAT returns and electronic invoicing violations

Eligibility and Conditions

To qualify for the waiver, taxpayers must:

  • Meet registration requirements set by the ZTCA.
  • Submit any outstanding tax returns.
  • Fully disclose and pay their principal tax liabilities.

Taxpayers may also apply for installment plans if requests are made within the validity period and payments adhere to the approved schedule.

Important Exclusions

  • The extension does not apply to penalties already paid before the initiative began.
  • It excludes violations related to tax evasion and any fines incurred after June 30, 2025.
