Pilgrims Urged to Remain Within Their Camps from 10 AM to 4 PM to Prevent Heat Exhaustion

Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq Al-Rabiah, has advised pilgrims to stay within their designated camps from 10 AM to 4 PM to avoid heat exhaustion, particularly on the Day of Arafat when high temperatures are expected.

He highlighted that random group walking can disrupt crowd flow and compromise the safety of pilgrims.

Key Points from the Minister’s Remarks

Safety Measures

  • Meeting with Hajj Mission Heads: Al-Rabiah made these remarks during a meeting with heads of Hajj missions from various countries on the sidelines of the 49th Grand Hajj Symposium in Jeddah.
  • Regulation Compliance: He directed Hajj affairs offices to enforce strict regulations on pilgrim movement within the holy sites, emphasizing the importance of safety and the smooth performance of rituals.

Transportation Guidelines

  • Designated Transportation: The minister stressed the necessity of using designated transportation from Arafat to Muzdalifah instead of walking, highlighting that organized transport plans are essential for ensuring safety and crowd management.

Nusuk Card Implementation

  • Nusuk Card Usage: Al-Rabiah underscored the importance of the Nusuk card, which is now mandatory for accessing the Grand Mosque, holy sites, and public transportation. This card serves as a crucial regulatory tool for performing rituals and preventing violations.

Hajj Permit Verification

  • The minister announced plans for intensified verification of Hajj permits this year to enhance pilgrim safety and ensure a complete and well-organized Hajj experience, in line with the sanctity of the occasion.

These measures aim to protect the health and safety of pilgrims while facilitating their spiritual journey during Hajj.
