Hail Airport Set for Expansion to Accommodate 2.2 Million Passengers Annually

The Ministry of Transport and Logistics is advancing plans to expand Hail International Airport, increasing its capacity to more than 2.2 million passengers per year.

  • Passenger Capacity: The expansion will enable the airport to handle over 2.2 million passengers annually.
  • Logistics Center: Alongside the airport expansion, a significant logistics center project is being developed, covering more than 374,000 square meters. This center will facilitate supply chains and the movement of goods across various regions in Saudi Arabia.

  • Roadside Services Development: A project is underway to enhance roadside services, providing integrated facilities to meet travelers’ needs and improve road safety and efficiency.
  • Geographical Advantage: Hail International Airport is strategically located just 60 minutes from 11 Arab capitals and 200 minutes from Central Europe, positioning it as a key logistics hub.

Eng. Saud Al-Arifi, Director General of the General Administration of Privatization at the Ministry, emphasized that these projects are crucial for transforming Hail into an integrated logistics center, enhancing its role in the Kingdom’s transportation and logistics services.

This expansion reflects Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing vital infrastructure and boosting regional connectivity.
