UAE: How Golden Visa Holders Can Resign During Probation

When resigning to join a new employer within the UAE, Golden Visa holders must provide written notice of at least one month.

If they plan to exit the UAE entirely, a 14-day notice is required. Failure to comply with these notice periods may result in a one-year ban on obtaining a new work permit.

However, as Golden Visa holders are exempt from this ban, they can transition to new opportunities without the usual restrictions.

While immediate resignation is permitted, it is advisable for individuals to notify their employers to maintain professionalism and legal compliance.

This flexibility allows Golden Visa holders to navigate their careers more freely, reflecting the UAE’s commitment to attracting top talent through its residency visa programs.
