UAE: How Golden Visa Holders Can Resign During Probation

Dubai: Golden Visa holders in the UAE have unique advantages when it comes to resigning from their jobs during the probationary period.

According to UAE Labour Law, they can leave their positions immediately without serving a notice period, a privilege not extended to all workers.

When resigning to join a new employer within the UAE, Golden Visa holders must provide written notice of at least one month.

If they plan to exit the UAE entirely, a 14-day notice is required. Failure to comply with these notice periods may result in a one-year ban on obtaining a new work permit.
