Commercial Stores Invited to Apply for National Day Discount Licenses
The Ministry of Commerce has announced that applications are now open for seasonal discount licenses marking the 95th Saudi National Day. Both retail outlets and e-commerce stores are eligible to participate.

Applications can be submitted electronically via the ministry’s dedicated platform: sales.mc.gov.sa. The discount season will run from September 16 to 30.
According to the ministry, the system allows businesses to obtain, print, and display licenses seamlessly, without deducting from their annual discount quota.

To protect consumers, every license carries a unified QR code that can be scanned to verify authenticity. Shoppers can instantly view key details such as discount type, percentage, duration, and store information.
The ministry emphasized that inspection campaigns will continue nationwide to ensure that both retail and online stores remain fully compliant with discount regulations.
