The hotel is currently recruiting a Buggy Technician to join its Engineering team. This full‑time role is essential in maintaining the functionality and safety of the hotel’s buggy fleet, ensuring seamless transportation services for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to repair requests, attending to maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Conduct visual inspections of tools, equipment, or machines to identify potential issues.
- Operate and carry equipment such as tools and radios as needed.
- Identify, locate, and operate all shut-off valves for equipment and building systems.
- Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies, requisitioning parts as necessary.
- Communicate daily activities and any problems to other shifts using approved communication programs.
- Demonstrate proficiency in areas such as air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical systems, mechanical systems, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation, and general building management.
- Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform repair and maintenance tasks.
- Repair or replace PVC and copper piping, including soldering.
- Troubleshoot and perform basic repairs on various equipment, including pumps, motors, plumbing fixtures, electrical devices, and guestroom items.
- Program and maintain televisions and perform general housekeeping and engineering-related duties.
- Assist with surface preparation and painting, minor drywall and wood trim repairs, light bulb and A/C filter replacements, and thorough cleanup of work areas.
- Adhere to the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work.
- Operate engineering computer programs related to preventive maintenance, energy management, and other systems.
- Perform mid-level troubleshooting of hotel Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
- Train and mentor other engineers, including Engineer I staff.
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities, including readings and rounds.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in maintenance or a related professional area.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
