Clarification on Late Arrivals
In response to recent media inquiries regarding late check-ins, the ministry clarified that:
- Fixed Check-Out Time: If a guest checks in at 10 p.m. and the reservation specifies a noon check-out, the check-out time remains noon the following day. Any lost hours are the guest’s responsibility.
- Consistency of Policy: This rule applies regardless of the check-in time on the specified day, ensuring check-out remains fixed at 12 p.m..
Importance of the Policy
The ministry highlighted that this policy is in place to:
- Ensure sufficient time for facilities to prepare rooms for incoming guests.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and service quality.
Guest Rights
The ministry reiterated that guests are entitled to receive the same room type, amenities, and services as shown in booking platform photos. Travelers are encouraged to review check-in and check-out policies before finalizing their reservations to avoid any misunderstandings.
