Qatar Airways stated, “We kindly ask all passengers to check any Anker power banks in their possession before traveling. Devices included in the recall are not permitted onboard.”
Last month, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) issued the recall, highlighting the risk of internal short circuits that could lead to overheating and fires.
The Ministry will work with dealers to offer free replacements, gift vouchers, or refunds for affected products.
