Over 3,300 Tons of Zamzam Water Consumed at Prophet’s Mosque in Just 15 Days

The General Authority for the Care of the Prophet’s Mosque has intensified its services to accommodate the increasing number of worshippers in Madinah during the 1446 Hajj season.
The focus has been on Zamzam water distribution, hygiene, and hospitality.

Key Highlights
Zamzam Water Distribution
- Total Distribution: From the 15th of Dhul-Qi’dah to the first of Dhul-Hijjah, 218,336 bottles of Zamzam water were distributed to worshippers in both the men’s and women’s sections of the mosque.
- Consumption Statistics: The total Zamzam water consumption during this period reached 3,360 tons, facilitated by the use of over 14 million plastic cups.

Hospitality Services
- Iftar Meals: A total of 301,802 Iftar meals were served to fasting visitors, distributed in designated areas inside the mosque as part of the seasonal hospitality program.
Hygiene and Safety Measures
- Cleaning Efforts: To ensure a clean and safe environment, 52,625 liters of disinfectants and sanitizers were used to clean and sterilize the mosque’s interior and facilities.
Spiritual Enhancements
- Incense Use: 7 kilograms of premium incense were used to scent the mosque and Rawdah areas before each prayer, enhancing the spiritual atmosphere at entrances and corridors.
These efforts reflect the commitment to providing a welcoming and comfortable environment for pilgrims and worshippers, ensuring their spiritual and physical needs are met during this significant time.
