Studies indicate that allowing a two-hour flexible start time and four to five remote workdays per month could potentially decrease morning peak travel by up to 30%.

The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is focusing on several key projects, including the construction of the Dubai Metro Blue Line and the development of a 65km suspended transport network.

This smart mobility system is designed to connect key areas across the city.

With approximately 3.5 million vehicles on Dubai’s roads, the plan also emphasizes expanding public transport, such as dedicated bus lanes and improvements to marine transport.

Authorities are urging residents to utilize school buses to alleviate traffic around educational institutions, which could improve traffic flow by 13%.

Additionally, the plan includes 39 strategic road projects and the rollout of intelligent traffic systems to enhance overall efficiency.

The RTA aims to achieve full network coverage for these systems, improving traffic management and emergency response capabilities.

As part of the initiative, residents will gradually see enhancements to road infrastructure, making travel in Dubai more efficient and sustainable.
