Details of the Arrest

The suspects, consisting of 18 Yemeni nationals and three Saudi citizens, were apprehended by the Criminal Investigation and Research Department in the Riyadh area.

Their arrest followed reports of suspicious activity involving unmarked vehicles designed to resemble official security vehicles.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, the gang used these vehicles, equipped with fake security modifications, to deceive and intimidate victims.

Gang Hideout Raided

Disguised as law enforcement officers, the suspects allegedly conducted street robberies and broke into homes, exploiting the trust and fear associated with their official appearance.

A video released by the Ministry showed officers intercepting a suspect’s vehicle and swiftly arresting those inside.

Additional footage captured law enforcement raiding what appeared to be the group’s hideout, where a stash of stolen items was recovered.

Legal Action Underway

The suspects are currently in custody, and formal legal procedures have begun. All 21 individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation.
