Dubai Introduces Premium Parking Zones: Discover Areas with Increased Fees

Dubai has unveiled new premium parking zones in its busiest commercial districts, including Downtown Dubai, Business Bay, and Jumeirah.
This initiative, effective from April 4, 2025, introduces a variable tariff system for public parking, where fees fluctuate based on demand.

During peak hours—8 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 8 PM—parking rates start at Dh6 for the first hour. Off-peak hours, from 10 AM to 4 PM and 8 PM to 10 PM, maintain lower rates.
The premium parking spaces are identifiable by white and blue signboards marked with ‘P’ codes, such as ‘345CP’.
Free parking remains available overnight from 10 PM to 8 AM, as well as on Sundays and public holidays. The new system aims to manage parking demand more effectively in high-traffic areas, ensuring accessibility for all motorists.
For those parking in these premium zones, the fees are structured as follows:
- Zone A:
- Standard: Dh4 (peak and off-peak)
- Premium: Dh6 (peak), Dh4 (off-peak)
- Zone B:
- Standard: Dh4 (peak), Dh3 (off-peak)
- Premium: Dh6 (peak), Dh3 (off-peak)
- Zones C and D:
- Standard: Dh4 (peak), Dh2 (off-peak)
- Premium: Dh6 (peak), Dh2 (off-peak)
This change aims to enhance parking management in areas with high demand, particularly near public transport hubs and shopping destinations.
