UAE: How to Apply for Your Child’s Birth Certificate Online in Dubai

Dubai has introduced a new digital service that allows parents to apply for their child’s birth certificate entirely online, streamlining the process significantly.

Launched by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), the service enables parents to submit documents and receive the certificate without needing to visit a customer service center.

The online application process begins with hospitals in Dubai submitting the birth notification and required documents electronically.

Parents can then complete their applications through the DHA website, pay the necessary fees, and receive the birth certificate within one working day.

Certificates can be provided in Arabic, English, or Urdu and are delivered via email or mobile phone, with an option for a printed copy through courier service.

To apply, parents need to ensure they have the required documents ready. For UAE citizens, these include the original Emirates ID or family book, an authenticated marriage certificate (if issued outside the UAE), and the original birth notification stamped by the hospital.

Non-citizen residents need similar documentation, including their original Emirates ID or passport.

The application fee is set at Dh70, and parents are encouraged to contact DHA’s toll-free number 800342 for personalized assistance. This initiative aims to simplify the process and enhance accessibility for families in Dubai.
