When the recruitment process concludes, 4,000 volunteers will be selected to support 20 different functional areas—from fan engagement and hospitality to media operations and logistics—ensuring the smooth running of both tournaments, scheduled for November and December.

“The Qatar 2025 FIFA Volunteer Programme builds on the tremendous legacy created in Qatar through the hosting of mega sporting events,” said Haya Al Noaimi, LOC Administration Executive Director.

“The success of each of these tournaments has been possible because of the devotion and tireless efforts of thousands of volunteers.”

Personal Stories, Global Impact

For many, volunteering is more than just an opportunity to be part of a global event—it’s a chance to give back to the community and foster connections across cultures.

Andhini Rahmayani, 25, originally from Indonesia, moved to Qatar four years ago to work in the hospitality sector.

Now, she’s applying her customer service skills in a new way. “I look forward to supporting guests and fans throughout these tournaments.

I can’t wait to meet new people, learn about their cultures, and be part of the U-17 World Cup that will feature my home country of Indonesia,” she shared.

For Fouad Redouan, a Moroccan chef in Doha, volunteering is a deeply personal calling. “Volunteering is a human expression. Everyone loves to help and be part of the community in which they live.

What we witnessed in Qatar 2022 was beautiful. It inspired everyone to be a part of it, and to contribute to the success of these events here in Qatar, and that’s what I hope I can do,” he said.

Building on a Legacy

Qatar’s reputation for hosting world-class sporting events is well established. The FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025™—to be held at the state-of-the-art Aspire Zone complex from November 3 to 27—will make history as the first FIFA competition to feature 48 teams.

It also marks the beginning of a five-tournament hosting streak for Qatar, extending through to 2029.

Meanwhile, the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2025™ will bring together 16 Arab nations from December 1 to 18, across six venues that dazzled the world during the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The tournament will return to Qatar in 2029 and 2033, cementing the country’s role as a hub for regional football excellence.

Looking Ahead

As interviews continue and offers are set to roll out in August, the spirit of volunteerism in Qatar is stronger than ever.

For all those involved, it’s more than just a role—it’s a chance to be part of history, to build bridges across cultures, and to showcase the warmth and hospitality for which Qatar is renowned.
