Where to Get a Medical Fitness Test in Dubai for UAE Residence Visa

DUBAI: For expatriates planning to relocate to Dubai, undergoing a medical fitness test is a crucial step in the residence visa application process. This test is mandatory for all individuals aged 18 and above.

In Dubai, medical fitness centres operate under the Dubai Health authority, offering essential health checks required for the issuance and renewal of residence visas.

There are currently 21 medical fitness centres across the city, providing services that include physical examinations, blood tests, and chest X-rays to screen for communicable diseases such as HIV and tuberculosis.

The following locations provide medical fitness tests:

  1. Al Garhoud Medical Fitness Centre
    • Hours: Mon-Thu 7am – 9:30pm; Fri 7am – 11:30am, 4pm – 7:30pm; Sat 7:30am – 2pm
  2. Al Lusaily Medical Fitness Centre
    • Hours: Mon-Thu 7:30am – 2:30pm; Fri 7:30am – 11:30am
  3. Al Muhaisnah Medical Fitness Centre
    • Hours: Mon-Thu 7am – 2:30pm; Fri 7:30am – 12pm
  4. Al Nahda Medical Fitness Centre
    • Hours: Mon-Thu 7am – 9:30pm; Fri 7am – 11:30am, 4pm – 7:30pm; Sat 7:30am – 2pm
  5. Dubai Airport Medical Fitness Centre
    • Open 24/7

In addition to these centres, Smart Salem Centres offer expedited services, providing test results within 30 minutes compared to the standard 24 hours.

The cost for a medical fitness test ranges from AED 250 to AED 300 for regular services, AED 750 for results within six hours, and AED 700 at Smart Salem Centres.

Expats are reminded that completing a medical fitness test is not only necessary for obtaining a new residence visa but also when renewing an existing one.
