Officials say the curriculum will open new horizons for learners, helping them understand AI’s role in solving modern digital challenges, while fostering creativity and innovation.

It will prepare students for advanced studies and careers in one of the most influential fields shaping the global job market.

The program reflects the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasizes building a knowledge-based society and developing human capital.

By embedding AI into general education, Saudi Arabia seeks to strengthen its leadership in the global data and AI sector, while positioning itself as a hub for technological advancement.

As part of the rollout, the Ministry of Education and SDAIA have issued a guide for using generative AI in schools, promoting ethical and responsible practices that support teachers and enhance student learning.

In addition, the Saudi Academic Framework for AI Qualifications (Education Intelligence) has been launched to align AI curricula with international standards and ensure employer confidence in future graduates.

Complementary programs are also underway. The SAMAI initiative, launched by SDAIA with the Ministries of Education and Human Resources, aims to empower one million Saudis with AI knowledge and skills, with more than half a million already enrolled.

Meanwhile, the AI Scholarship Program, in cooperation with the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Program, will send outstanding Saudi students to top global universities to study AI and data science.

In parallel, the Generative AI Academy, established by SDAIA in partnership with NVIDIA, is cultivating advanced AI talent within the Kingdom.

Together, these initiatives are designed to create a skilled Saudi workforce capable of leading in emerging technologies, supporting sustainable development, and ensuring the Kingdom’s competitiveness in the global AI economy.
