The hotel is currently recruiting a Mason to join its Engineering & Facilities team. This hands-on role is crucial to upholding the resort’s operational excellence and ensuring guest areas remain in impeccable condition.

Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to guest repair requests and effectively resolve maintenance issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and both kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Conduct thorough visual inspections of tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Carry and manage essential equipment such as tools and radios throughout the property.
- Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and building utilities.
- Maintain maintenance inventory levels and request parts and supplies as needed.
- Communicate daily activities and any issues to other shifts using approved protocols.
- Demonstrate or develop proficiency across technical areas including air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, controls, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicle maintenance, energy conservation, and general building systems.
- Execute surface preparation tasks—painting, minor drywall or wood-trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter changes—while ensuring thorough cleanup of work areas.
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs: unclog drains, fix plumbing fixtures, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, and internet devices; replace switches and outlets; program TVs.
- Support housekeeping and maintain engineering inventory.
- Apply Lockout/Tagout safety procedures before maintenance.
- Conduct repairs to landscaping and sprinkler systems, both interior and exterior.
- Use basic computer skills to update air-handler schedules and make temperature adjustments.
Qualifications
Required:
- A valid Driver’s License.
Preferred:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Prior experience in general building maintenance, masonry, or hotel engineering environments.
- Familiarity with safety protocols such as Lockout/Tagout.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work both independently and with a team.
