How to Anonymously Report Unpaid Salaries in the UAE

DUBAI, July 29, 2025 – Employees in the UAE facing unpaid or delayed salaries can now report their issues anonymously through the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) using the ‘My Salary Complaint’ service.

This confidential option allows workers to raise labor complaints without revealing their identities, ensuring protection against potential repercussions from employers.

The service is designed for individuals experiencing salary violations, including consistent delays or unpaid benefits such as overtime.

When a complaint is filed, the employer is not informed of the complainant’s identity, making it a secure way for employees to address their concerns.

To utilize the ‘My Salary Complaint’ service, workers must have a valid Emirates ID and their labor card number, and they should not have any pending labor complaints or court cases.

Complaints can be submitted through the MOHRE app or website, requiring personal details and a one-time password (OTP) for identity confirmation.

Once a complaint is lodged, MOHRE will investigate the issue. If valid, the case is forwarded to the Labour Inspection Department, which will visit the employer to assess the situation without disclosing the complainant’s identity. Employees will receive updates via SMS throughout the process, which typically takes around 14 days.

For those working in UAE free zones, the procedure differs slightly; employees must first contact the free zone authority’s mediation office before escalating the issue.

This anonymous reporting service empowers workers to speak up for their rights while maintaining their job security.
