Nearly Half of Saudi Internet Users Spend 7 Hours a Day Online

According to the “Saudi Internet 2024” report published by the Communications, Space and Technology Commission, approximately 48.6% of internet users in Saudi Arabia spend seven hours or more online each day. This trend reflects the growing demand for digital content and e-services across the Kingdom.

Peak Usage Times

  • Peak Hours: Internet usage is highest between 9 PM and 11 PM.
  • Busiest Day: Saturday is identified as the day with the most internet activity.

Locations of Use

  • Home: 87.9% of users access the internet primarily at home.
  • Travel: 79.3% use the internet while traveling.
  • Work: 41.7% access the internet at their workplaces.

Devices Used

  • Mobile Phones: Dominating at 99.4% usage.
  • Computers: Used by 50.7% of users.
  • Tablets: Account for 37.5% of device usage.

Operating Systems

  • Android: Represents 55% of mobile phone usage.
  • iOS: Accounts for 45% of mobile users.
  • Windows: Dominates computers at 91.1%, followed by Macintosh at 7.5% and Linux at 1.4%.
