A recent report titled “Jobs of the Future,” released by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) in partnership with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), outlines these shifts and provides a roadmap for workforce readiness.

The report identifies nine key roles expected to see significant growth, including AI and machine learning specialists, sustainability experts, data analysts, and robotics engineers.
These positions are anticipated to thrive due to advancements in technology and increasing sustainability efforts.
Meanwhile, traditional roles such as teachers, nurses, and doctors will remain relevant but will require ongoing upskilling to keep pace with industry changes.
Conversely, routine and administrative jobs, including bank tellers and data entry clerks, are likely to decline as automation takes hold.
