The new system, accessible at kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw, simplifies the application process for those eligible, allowing residents from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain to apply online or obtain a visa on arrival.
This is particularly beneficial for expatriates looking to visit Kuwait for work, family, or leisure.
Eligibility and Required Professions
To qualify for the eVisa, applicants must hold specific professional titles, including doctors, engineers, teachers, and journalists, among others. Eligibility is determined based on the profession listed on the Emirates ID for UAE residents.
Application Process
The application process is straightforward:
- Visit the official website: Go to kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw.
- Select your visa type: Choose ‘tourist’ and specify your nationality and residency details.
- Create an account: Sign up with your email, name, and mobile number.
- Complete your application: Upload necessary documents, including a passport-sized photo and relevant passport pages.
- Pay the fee: Submit your application after confirming your details and paying the visa fee online.

The tourist visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issue and allows for a maximum stay of 90 days in Kuwait.
With the implementation of the new eVisa system, Kuwait aims to attract more visitors and streamline the travel process for residents of the GCC.
As travel demand grows, this initiative is expected to enhance Kuwait’s appeal as a destination for both tourism and business, making it easier for expatriates to explore the country.
