Etihad Rail Launching in 2026: Key Details on Stations, Timings, and Oman Link

The UAE’s Etihad Rail has announced that its passenger services will officially begin in 2026, marking a significant advancement in public transportation.
The network will connect 11 key cities across the seven emirates, offering high-speed trains capable of reaching up to 200 km/h.

The new service aims to significantly reduce travel times, with routes planned between major hubs like Abu Dhabi and Dubai, cutting the journey to just 57 minutes.
The railway network will cover approximately 1,200 km, linking cities such as Sharjah, Fujairah, and Ras Al Khaimah.
Construction is ongoing for the first passenger station in Sakamkam, Fujairah, and a second near the University City of Sharjah.

Future stations in Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to enhance connectivity further. Additionally, plans are underway for a high-speed rail link to Oman, facilitating cross-border travel.
Etihad Rail promises a modern travel experience, with trains designed for up to 400 passengers equipped with amenities like Wi-Fi and entertainment systems.
The integration of nol card payments will simplify the ticketing process for travelers across the UAE.
