As summer approaches and temperatures rise, the UAE’s museums are offering free entry to a variety of cultural attractions in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah.
These indoor escapes provide a refreshing way to explore art, history, and unique exhibits without spending any money.
Expo 2020 Dubai Museum and Garden in the Sky: Free entry on May 17 and 18, celebrating International Museum Day.
Jameel Arts Centre: Located along the Jaddaf Waterfront, open Saturday through Thursday (10 am – 8 pm) and Fridays (12 pm – 8 pm), closed on Tuesdays.
Coffee Museum: Situated in Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood, open Saturday through Thursday (9 am – 5 pm), closed on Fridays.
Miraj Islamic Art Centre: Located in Jumeirah 3, open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, showcasing Islamic art from across the Muslim world.
Abu Dhabi:
Manarat Al Saadiyat: Located in the Saadiyat Island Cultural District, featuring the Abu Dhabi Masterpieces Collection, open daily from 10 am to 8 pm. Children under 10 are not permitted.
Bassam Freiha Art Foundation: Also in the Saadiyat Island Cultural District, open daily from 10 am to 8 pm, showcasing cultural heritage and artistic expression.
Miraj Islamic Art Centre: Located near Marina Mall, open daily from 9.30 am to 7 pm, showcasing a range of Islamic artifacts.
Sharjah:
Sharjah Arts Museum: Located in the Arts Area of Al Shuwaihean, open Saturday through Thursday (9 am – 9 pm) and Fridays (4 pm – 9 pm), housing a permanent collection of over 500 artworks.
