How to Remove Incorrect Traffic Violations on Your Metrash
Have you found a traffic violation on your Metrash that doesn’t belong to you? Perhaps the photo shows a different car? Here’s how to resolve it and get the incorrect violation removed.
How to remove an incorrect violation via the Metrash App?
- Log in and Navigate: Open the Metrash app and go to the “Traffic” section.
- Enter Vehicle Details: Select “Vehicles” and enter your car’s plate number. Choose “Violations” as the “Service Type.”

- View Violation Details: Click on the specific violation. You’ll see a photo of the car and a “Details of Violation” section.
- Raise an Objection: Below the details, select “Objection.”
- Explain Your Objection: Provide a clear explanation of why you’re disputing the violation (e.g., the photo shows the wrong license plate).
- Submit and Wait: Submit your objection. You’ll receive an SMS confirmation. The Traffic Police will investigate.
- Outcome: You’ll receive another SMS with the outcome (valid or invalid). If the dispute is rejected, you can discuss it further at the Traffic Department in Madinat Khalifa.

How can the incorrect violation be removed by visiting the Traffic Department?
- Inform Reception: Upon entering, tell the reception staff you’re there to dispute a wrongly registered traffic violation.
- Get a Token: You’ll receive a token number for a specific counter.
- Meet with the Officer: Provide your car plate number and Qatar ID number to the Traffic officer.
- Resolution: If the dispute is straightforward, the officer can immediately remove the violation from your record.
