Residents and Citizens Arrested for Drug Offenses Across Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s security forces have made several arrests this week involving residents and citizens charged with drug-related offenses.

Recent Arrests
- Asir Region: Two citizens were apprehended for distributing 27 kg of qat concealed in a vehicle driven by one of them in Dhahran Al-Janub governorate. A firearm was also discovered in their possession.
- Al-Raboua, Asir: Ten Ethiopian nationals were arrested for violating border security while attempting to smuggle 192 kg of qat.
- Yanbu, Madinah: Border Guard land patrols thwarted an attempt to smuggle 3.6 kg of hashish.
- Al-Arda, Jazan: Four Yemenis were arrested for violating border security and smuggling 80 kg of qat.

Reporting Drug Offenses
Authorities encourage citizens and residents to report drug offenses by calling:
- 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province
- 999 in other regions
Additionally, reports can be submitted confidentially to the General Directorate of Narcotics Control at 995 or via email at 995@gdnc.gov.sa.
These enforcement actions highlight the ongoing commitment of Saudi authorities to combat drug trafficking and ensure public safety.
