The Makkah Region Police have arrested a Saudi citizen for disseminating fake and misleading Hajj campaign advertisements on social media.
The ads offered housing and transportation for pilgrims within the holy sites, with the intention of defrauding potential victims.

Following the arrest, the individual was referred to the Public Prosecution after the necessary legal actions were completed.

Public Security officials have urged both citizens and expatriates to adhere to Hajj regulations and instructions.
They encourage anyone who encounters violations to report them by calling the following numbers:
- 911 in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province
- 999 in other regions of the Kingdom
