Video: Kuwait Police Arrest 30 in Major Drug Trafficking Operation

Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior has intensified its efforts to combat drug-related crimes through a series of coordinated security operations conducted by the General Department for Combating Narcotics under the Criminal Security Sector.
These campaigns, aimed at safeguarding society from the adverse effects of drug trafficking, resulted in the arrest of 30 individuals from various nationalities across multiple regions of the country.
Arrests and Seized Items
The arrested suspects include:
- 14 Kuwaiti citizens
- 5 Bedouins
- 7 Bangladeshis
- 2 Indians
- 1 Saudi national
- 1 Iranian.
Authorities confiscated significant quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances, including:
- 9.823 kg of hashish
- 7.966 kg of methamphetamine (shabu)
- 7.557 kg of marijuana
- 2.950 kg of synthetic chemicals
- 1.082 kg of heroin
- Smaller amounts of cocaine and Lyrica powder.
Additionally, they seized:
- Over 6,700 Lyrica capsules and 974 psychotropic pills
- Two firearms with live ammunition
- Drug packaging materials such as precision scales and empty bags.
Legal Proceedings and Continued Efforts
All suspects and confiscated items have been referred to the Public Prosecution for Drugs and Alcohol for further legal action. The General Department for Combating Narcotics has reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining intensive operations nationwide to apprehend individuals involved in drug trafficking and ensure public safety.
