Benjamin Mossman, a British entrepreneur who relocated to RAK in May 2025, highlights the financial benefits of the move, noting significant reductions in personal and business expenses.
He described RAK as having a unique energy and emphasized the affordability of local restaurants and cafes compared to those in Dubai.
Residents appreciate RAK’s combination of mountains and pristine beaches, making it an attractive destination for families and entrepreneurs. Mossman specifically noted the absence of traffic congestion, allowing for smooth commutes.
Sagarika Sahoo, another recent mover, found that RAK resonated with her on a deeper level. After two decades in Dubai, she commented on how the emirate’s natural beauty and emerging business ecosystem provided a transformative lifestyle change.
Newcomers like Sinead Marais, who moved from South Africa, also value RAK’s proximity to nature and affordability. She noted that living in RAK felt less pressured while still offering great amenities.
