The completion of the western section of the Second Ring Road aims to enhance traffic flow within the city by connecting key routes, including Ibrahim Al-Khalil Road and Madinah Road.

Additionally, it links the southern side of the ring road with King Abdulaziz Road and integrates with the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Road project on the northern side, featuring the Sulaymaniyah Tunnels.

The new roadway includes three lanes in each direction, separated by a median strip, along with service roads and underpasses at critical intersections, such as the Prince Mohammed bin Salman Intersection and the Biban Intersection.

This project is expected to significantly improve transportation efficiency in Makkah, facilitating better access for residents and visitors alike.
