In its initial phase, the AI radar has already proven effective, catching drivers committing serious infractions. Motorists exceeding the speed limit by more than 80 km/h face fines of up to Dh3,000 and 23 black points, along with potential vehicle impoundment for 60 days.
Other speeding violations incur varying fines, while running a red light results in a Dh1,000 fine and 12 black points.

The radar also targets distracted driving, particularly the use of mobile phones while driving, which carries an Dh800 fine and 4 black points.
Additionally, it ensures compliance with seat belt regulations and monitors for illegal window tinting, noisy vehicles, and expired registrations.
As Dubai continues to invest in smart technology for traffic management, officials urge all motorists to stay informed about the updated rules to avoid hefty penalties and contribute to safer roads.
