For those whose nationalities do not allow for visa-free travel, there are still viable options. UAE residents can apply for eVisas or obtain visas on arrival, depending on specific criteria. Here’s an overview of the visa processes for Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Saudi Arabia
UAE expatriates can apply for a one-year multiple-entry eVisa, which covers business trips, visiting loved ones, and even performing Umrah (excluding Hajj season).
Applications can be made through Saudi Arabia’s unified visa platform: ksavisa.sa. The visa options include a single-entry (90 days) or a multiple-entry (one year) visa, each allowing stays of up to 90 days.
Oman
In Oman, UAE residents can secure a visa on arrival, regardless of nationality, provided they work in a profession approved by the Royal Oman Police (ROP).
Alternatively, an eVisa valid for up to 30 days can be applied for through Oman’s official eVisa portal: evisa.rop.gov.om.
For those driving to Oman, a visa on arrival is available at the border for up to 14 days, with a valid Emirates ID and passport required.
Qatar
UAE residents of any nationality can apply for a ‘GCC Resident Entry’ eVisa via Qatar’s Hayya Portal: hayya.qa. Eligibility includes having a UAE residency valid for at least three months, confirmed accommodation, and a matching job title on your residence visa.
Bahrain
In Bahrain, UAE residents can obtain a two-week visa on arrival or apply for an eVisa through Bahrain’s NPRA online portal: evisa.gov.bh.
The eVisa offers options for three-month or one-year multiple entries. Requirements include a valid Emirates ID, a passport with at least six months of validity, and proof of return travel and accommodation.
Kuwait
UAE residents can apply for an eVisa through Kuwait’s updated platform: kuwaitvisa.moi.gov.kw. Applicants must typically provide a passport valid for at least six months, a recent passport-sized photo, a confirmed return ticket, and a valid Emirates ID.
Visa requirements may vary based on nationality, and those obtaining a visa on arrival must present the necessary documents at the airport.
