The collaboration between India’s Department of Posts, NPCI International Payments Limited, and the Universal Postal Union creates a direct link between digital payments and the global postal network.

This advancement is expected to lower remittance costs and increase the speed and convenience of sending money home.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia highlighted that the combination of the reliable postal network with the efficiency of UPI will allow families to transfer money more securely and at reduced costs.

With over 560 million accounts connected through India Post Payments Bank, the system offers easier access for migrant workers and small businesses.

Additionally, Scindia announced a $10 million investment to enhance global postal technology, particularly in e-commerce and digital financial services, signaling India’s commitment to leading in cross-border postal and digital finance.

This integration marks a new era for Indian expats in the UAE, promising efficient and secure remittance options.
