Dubai’s RTA to Begin Issuing Permits and Licences for Tourist Transport
Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced that it will now oversee the licensing and regulation of all tourist transport operations in the emirate.
This new initiative, implemented under an Executive Regulation, aims to streamline tourist transport services, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through approved channels.

The RTA will be responsible for issuing and renewing permits for tourist transport establishments, registering and renewing tourist vehicles, and granting professional licences to drivers.
This move is designed to enhance the quality of service and improve safety and comfort standards for visitors.
Officials from the RTA and the Department of Economy and Tourism stated that this regulation will bolster Dubai’s position as a leading global destination, raise service standards across the sector, and provide significant benefits to companies operating within this vital area of the tourism economy.
