According to the ministry, the price cuts range between 15% and 75%, and cover some of the most widely used therapeutic categories.
These include medicines for heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and painkillers, as well as treatments for allergies, digestive disorders, psychiatric conditions, immune diseases, and weight-loss medications.
The initiative is designed to ensure that patients in Qatar have access to essential medicines at more affordable prices, supporting the government’s commitment to public health and the wellbeing of its population.
