UAE: How to Update Your Mobile Number Linked to Your Emirates ID

Residents in the UAE looking to change the mobile number associated with their Emirates ID can do so through an online service provided by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP).

This is especially important for those using their Emirates ID for online services that require a one-time password (OTP) sent to the registered mobile number.

For Emirates ID Holders Without an ICP Account:

1. Visit the ICP website and fill out the request form.
2. Provide personal details including nationality, passport number, and the current and new mobile numbers.
3. Complete the verification process and make the online payment of a total of AED 151.40.

For Emirates ID Holders With an ICP Account:

1. Log in to the ICP portal.
2. Select the appropriate department and navigate to the ‘Update Personal Information’ section.
3. Enter the new mobile number and verify it with the OTP received via SMS.
4. Review the summary of your request and complete the payment.
