Saudi Arabia to Host Hajj and Two Holy Mosques Historical Forum This November

The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) is set to host a major scholarly forum in November 2025, focusing on the history of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques. This initiative aims to document and preserve one of Islam’s most sacred rites and historical legacies.

  • Date: Scheduled for Jumada al-Awwal 1447H.
  • Title: “Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques: History, Culture, Architecture – Toward Sustainable Knowledge and Digital Documentation.”
  • Collaboration: Organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and the Guests of God Service Program.

The Foundation has opened a call for research papers, with submissions accepted until the end of Rabi al-Awwal 1447H. The review process will include:

  • A one-month peer review period.
  • A one-month revision period.
  • Announcement of accepted papers two weeks after final amendments.
