Riyadh, Saudi Arabia — On Wednesday, Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami inaugurated a new set of digital services offered by Public Security through the Ministry of Interior’s Absher platform.

New Services Introduced

Absher Individuals Platform

  • Vehicle Ownership: The new services include the ability to transfer vehicle ownership to businesses.
  • Air Rifle Permits: Enhanced features for air rifle permits, including:
    • Ownership transfer
    • License renewal

Absher Business Portal

  • Accident Report Service: Introduction of a new “Accident Report” service.
  • Rock-Cutting Activities: Several services related to rock-cutting activities, including:
    • Cancelling rock-cutting material usage permits
    • Cancelling rock discharge and transport permits
    • Adding new materials to existing permits

Goals of the Initiative

  • Digital Transformation: These additions are part of the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to accelerate digital transformation and improve the quality of life.
  • Streamlining Procedures: The services aim to reduce in-person visits and save time by offering automated processes across the security sector for citizens, residents, and visitors.
