UAE: How to Claim ILOE Unemployment Insurance After Job Loss

Dubai: The Involuntary Loss of Employment (ILOE) scheme in the UAE now allows workers who have lost their jobs to claim compensation online.

This scheme offers financial support to eligible employees for up to three months, covering 60% of their salary.

To qualify, workers must have been subscribed to the scheme for at least 12 consecutive months and must submit their claims within 30 days of employment termination.

Claims can be made through the official ILOE website, iloe.ae, where applicants can log in, fill out the necessary forms, and choose their preferred payout method—either via bank transfer or cash pickup at Al Ansari Exchange locations.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MOHRE) emphasizes that employers must cancel the work permit before filing a claim.

Approved claims will be processed within two weeks, providing much-needed financial relief to individuals during their job search.
