Expert Insights

Social specialist Ahmed Al Najjar attributes the rising divorce rates to a misunderstanding of marital life and a lack of emotional preparedness.

He identifies several factors contributing to early divorces:

  • High wedding costs
  • Rushed partner selection
  • Excessive family interference
  • Idealized behavior during courtship that doesn’t hold post-marriage

“Marriage isn’t just a celebration; it’s a long-term commitment requiring maturity and realistic expectations,” Al Najjar emphasized, highlighting the need for better preparation for marital life.
