Residents of GCC countries traveling internationally can now take advantage of a free transit visa to perform Umrah during layovers in Saudi Arabia.
This visa is available for passengers flying with Saudia Airlines or flynas and allows stays of up to 96 hours.

The stopover visa enables travelers to visit holy sites in Makkah or Madinah for religious purposes. Eligibility extends to any traveler with a stopover, provided they are flying on the designated airlines.
The visa process is straightforward, with minimal fees for application and medical insurance.
To apply, travelers can book flights through the airlines’ websites, where the transit visa is automatically issued during the booking process.
Required documentation includes a valid passport, a confirmed onward ticket, and a passport-sized photo.
This initiative not only facilitates spiritual journeys but also promotes tourism in Saudi Arabia, enhancing the travel experience for GCC residents.
