Additionally, private sector companies with 50 or more employees must meet Emiratisation targets by June 30, ensuring that at least 1% of their skilled workforce comprises Emiratis.

In Dubai, government employees will shift to a four-day workweek or reduced hours under the ‘Our Flexible Summer’ initiative, improving work-life balance until September 12.

Meanwhile, Ajman will allow remote work on Fridays for government employees during the summer.

A new law legalizing the sale of tobacco-free nicotine pouches will take effect on July 29, supporting smokers looking to quit.

Furthermore, a health law aimed at controlling the spread of infectious diseases will be enacted later in the month, requiring individuals with infections to avoid contact and travel without approval.

As schools prepare for summer holidays, many families will seek summer camps to keep children engaged during the break.

The UAE continues to enforce a midday work ban to protect outdoor workers from the intense summer heat.
