UAE Petrol Prices for July 2025: Will Fuel Costs Decrease?

Dubai – The UAE is on the verge of announcing petrol and diesel prices for July 2025, with many residents eagerly awaiting the updates to manage their fuel budgets.
Since the deregulation of fuel prices in 2015, monthly adjustments have been closely tied to global oil market trends.

In June, fuel prices remained mostly stable, with the following rates:
- Super 98 petrol: Dh2.58 per litre
- Special 95: Dh2.47 per litre
- E-Plus: Dh2.39 per litre
- Diesel: Dh2.45 per litre (a decrease from Dh2.52 in May)

Analysts are optimistic about potential decreases in July, attributed to falling oil prices and easing geopolitical tensions.
Brent crude is currently trading around $69 a barrel, having dropped over 7% this week, largely due to a cooling conflict between Israel and Iran, which had initially raised supply concerns.
Experts predict a global oil surplus in the latter half of 2025, as demand softens and production increases. OPEC+ is scheduled to meet on July 6 to discuss a possible increase in output, which could further influence prices.
For UAE drivers, the declining Brent crude prices suggest a potential drop in local fuel costs, providing much-needed relief after several months of high prices.
However, the final outcome will depend on OPEC+ decisions and the stability of the Israel-Iran truce. Residents are advised to stay tuned for the official price announcement expected by June 30.
