During this period, government offices will be closed, with operations resuming on Monday, June 9.

The announcement comes as many in the UAE prepare to observe Eid Al Adha, also known as the “Feast of Sacrifice,” which commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice for God.

Eid Al Adha falls on the 10th day of Dhu Al Hijjah, the final month of the Islamic calendar, and is marked by communal prayers, family gatherings, and charitable acts.

The holiday follows Arafat Day, a day of fasting and reflection for Muslims who are not participating in the Hajj pilgrimage.
