Dubai Police AI Traffic Fines: Eight Offenses Identified by Radar Technology

Dubai Police has implemented advanced artificial intelligence (AI) radar systems to enhance road safety and catch traffic violators more effectively.

Deployed across major roads, these radars can identify various offenses, including speeding, red-light violations, lane discipline issues, and distracted driving.

Motorists are urged to stay informed about the updated traffic regulations, as significant penalties are in place for violations. The AI system can detect:

  1. Speeding: Fines range from AED 300 to AED 3,000, with black points and possible vehicle impoundment.
  2. Running Red Lights: Offenders face a AED 1,000 fine, 12 black points, and a 30-day vehicle impoundment.
  3. Lane Discipline Violations: A fine of AED 400 is imposed for failing to maintain lane discipline.
  4. Distracted Driving: Using a mobile phone while driving incurs an AED 800 fine and 4 black points.
  5. Seat Belt Violations: Not wearing a seat belt results in a AED 400 fine.
  6. Illegal Window Tinting: Fines for unauthorized window tinting can reach AED 1,500.
  7. Noisy Vehicles: Modifications that increase noise levels can lead to a AED 2,000 fine.
  8. Driving with Expired Registration: Motorists face a AED 500 fine and potential vehicle impoundment.

With these measures, Dubai Police aims to promote road safety and reduce traffic incidents across the emirate. Motorists are encouraged to adhere to the rules to avoid hefty fines and penalties.
