The Shopping Experience Assistant – Cashier will oversee cashier operations and provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers throughout their journey.

This role ensures smooth, accurate transactions and a welcoming environment that enhances the overall IKEA shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle cash, cheque, credit card, voucher, and automatic debit payments following company SOPs.
- Accurately compute and record all transactions and manage cash float before and after trading.
- Greet and assist customers upon arrival, providing shopping tools, bags, and trolleys as needed.
- Minimize queue times while responding to customer needs efficiently.
- Manage Returns & Exchange desk operations with a focus on quick, friendly service and customer satisfaction.
- Welcome customers and explain Smaland admission policies, ensuring child safety in the play area.
- Make announcements and page parents if needed regarding children in Smaland.
- Book IKEA services such as Home Delivery, Assembly, and Measurement, and follow up on stock availability.
- Handle product returns and exchanges, making judgment calls within management guidelines.
- Report product faults, safety issues, or transportation problems based on customer feedback.
- Prepare detailed transaction and performance reports for management review.

Required Skills
- Proactive attitude with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Good command of English; Arabic is preferred.
- Previous experience in customer service or cashier roles is advantageous.
